Generate citations and save a bibliography in MLA or APA format. CSM students and faculty can create an account on or off-campus:
1. Click the NoodleTools link
2. Select the REGISTER button at the bottom
3. Under Subscription Type select "An account linked to a school/library subscription or trial"
4. Complete the About You portion. Be sure to remember which username or email address you use to register in order to login to your account in the future

Why Cite????

to acknowledge the information you used (and did not create yourself)
to acknowledge the cited author's expertise (on which you relied writing your essay...),
to allow the reader to find the source you are referencing, and
to enable her to use the references as a starting point for her own research.

Citing is to research as "assist" is to goal in soccer (or another sport): record is kept (statistics) and rewards follow: recognition and remuneration.
