University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Libraries digital collection: Cities Around the World presents over 6,100 photographic images from the slide collections of the American Geographical Society Library. The images selected for this project focus on architecture, city life, people, transportation and other aspects of urban development, such as neighborhoods, commercial streets, and business districts

The Internet Archive is a non-profit that was founded to build an Internet library. Its purposes include offering permanent access for researchers, historians, scholars, people with disabilities, and the general public to historical collections that exist in digital format.

Administered since 1933, the collections document achievements in architecture, engineering, and design in the United States and its territories through a comprehensive range of building types and engineering technologies.

This collection can be daunting in scope, and not everything is cataloged, and not everything cataloged is digitized, and not everything digitized is digitized well.. but the collection is peerless.

LIFE and Google have collaborated to make millions of digitized photographs available online. Images document the people, places, and events of the twentieth century.

This site features architecture-related digital materials such as photographs, maps, reports and other media from the University of Washington Libraries (including Special Collections), University of Washington Faculty and Departments, and organizations that have participated in partner projects with the UW Libraries.
