Welcome
This guide will help you search for and find online videos. In addition, this guide has information about using online videos, including how to download, embed, and share them with others.
Streaming means that the video plays within an Internet browser window, such as in Firefox or Internet Explorer. Most of the videos you'll find here will use this option.
Downloading means that the video gets copied to your computer's hard drive, and will play from there. How to download online videos.
Embedding creates within a webpage a window where the video will play. Instructors can embed videos directly into their WebAccess pages or course websites. How to embed online videos.
Linking is the simplest way to share an online video -- just copy and paste the web address URL for the page that the video is on. How to link to online videos.
Closed captioning
Many of the videos in our databases have closed captioning. Some automatically show captions, while others allow you to turn the captions on and off.
For example, Films On Demand lets you turn captions on or off using the "CC" button in the top right corner of the video window.
