Transfer Resources

CSM Transfer Services

CSM Transfer Services provide important services to assist students in planning for transfer to a four-year college or university. Information and workshops are offered on transfer requirements, transfer planning, writing the application essay, choosing a college, and completing transfer admission applications.

Transfer Services also schedules representatives from other universities and colleges, including UC, CSU and private universities, to meet with students on a regular basis.  Meet virtually with university representatives to learn about transfer requirements and admissions information  in one of the upcoming Transfer Events. CSM has Transfer Admission Agreements with a number of four-year institutions which can guarantee transfer admission.

For more information about transfer planning, refer to the CSM Transfer Services Booklet. Be sure to check out the 10 Tips for Successful Transferring

ASSIST

The official statewide database and online resource that shows prospective California transfer students how courses they complete at a community college may be used to satisfy elective, general education and major requirements at a CSU or UC campus.

A Degree with a Guarantee

The California Community Colleges and partnering institutions created a transfer program to make it easier for students to start at a community college, transfer to a guaranteed saved spot at a participating four-year university and earn a bachelor’s degree. When you earn an Associate Degree for Transfer and meet certain requirements, you'll be guaranteed admission to CSU (though admission to a specific campus or major is not guaranteed). Use the Transfer Tool to discover your transfer options.

UC's Transfer Admission Guarantee (TAG) program

Six UC campuses offer guaranteed admission to students from all California community colleges (CCC). Interested students must meet campus-specific requirements to qualify for a TAG. By participating in a TAG program, students can ensure their admission to a specific UC campus.  Use the Transfer Admission Planner (TAP) to track and plan your coursework.
