What printer does the library have?

Ultimaker 2+

 

What filament does the library use?

The Ultimaker 2+ uses corn-based 2.85mm PLA (Polyactic Acid) Biodegradable Filament to print 3-dimensional objects.

 What files does the printer use?

The printer uses .gcode, although .STL, .OBJ, or 3MF files can be converted to .gcode. 3D print files may also be found in an online object library, such as Thingiverse.

 

How much does it cost?

3D Printing at the Library is currently free. A fee may be charged in the future to cover printing costs.
