Jennifer De Leon is a Boston-born author with Guatemalan roots. As an Associate Professor of Creative Writing at Framingham State University and a faculty member in Harvard University's Creative Writing & Literature Master Program, she has published prose in over a dozen literary journals, and she's a contributor to NPR. Her educational journey spans Connecticut College, where she majored in International Relations and French, to earning a Master of Arts in Teaching through Teach For America at the University of San Francisco, and finally, a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from UMASS-Boston. She's received numerous awards and residencies, including recognition from the Bread Loaf Writers' Conference, Hedgebrook, Macondo, VONA, Associates of the Boston Public Library's Writer-in-Residence Program, and the City of Boston's Artist-in-Residence Program.
