Using the Library: Technology

For students interested in borrowing technology for the semester, please visit our Student Technology page.

The Library has over 30 PC desk top computers and 2 Macs available for public use. Students are encouraged to use USB flash drives, email, or cloud storage to retrieve and save documents. The technical specs for our computers includes:

• Windows 11
• Internet access
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Adobe Suite and PDF Reader 
• Options to print to any of our print release stations
• No time limit or required login
• Privacy wipe at the end of each session after restart

WiFi

WiFi is free at CSM Library and supports most mobile devices, such as laptops, tablets, and smartphones. Students or Guests can use the “SMCCCD_Public" network.
