CSM Librarians are available for drop-in and online research help whenever the library is open.
Faculty librarians are experts at searching for information and guiding students through the research process. Librarians can help you find articles or books for a project, help you narrow your topic, assist with various citation styles, and help walk you through resource evaluation.
To find librarian during drop-in hours, visit the Library on the second floor of Building 9 and head to the reference desk in the middle of the library, or just ask to speak with a librarian. The Library offers other ways to get research help if you aren't able to visit the library in person:
Courses taught in the humanities such as English and literature typically use the citation style created by the Modern Language Association known as MLA Style. Visit our MLA Guide.
If your taking classes in the sciences and social sciences such as Biology, Psychology, or Sociology, then you're likely using APA Style to format your paper and cite your sources. This style comes from the American Psychological Association. Visit our APA Guide.
CSM Library subscribes to NoodleTools, a citation generator service that allows CSM students to create and save citations for a variety of projects. Sign up for a NoodleTools account now,or use the simple version, NoodleTools Express, to create a citation on the fly without an account.
Not sure what style to use or were to start? Chat with a CSM Librarian online below, or visit the Library in-person to get one-on-one help.
